"Big League Baseball Classic at League Stadium"

The Dubois County Bombers Charities, in partnership with Visit Dubois County, are excited to present the inaugural Big League Baseball Classic at League Stadium on Sat, Aug. 10th 2024. Join us as we welcome former big league legends from the MLB (Major League Baseball) as they visit historic League Stadium for an exhibition game you won't want to miss!

Bring the entire family for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet and watch former big name players UP CLOSE from the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees (and others) as they play a 7-inning exhibition game with other former major-leaguers, minor-leaguers, local players, and even local celebrities!

A legendary game calls for some legendary coaches and we didn't have to look far. In fact, we didn't even have to leave Dubois County. A couple of state championship-winning coaches, respected rivals, and Indiana baseball icons (Gene Mattingly of Southridge High School and Terry Gobert of Jasper High School) will be leading our two teams. Coach Mattingly will be assisted by Andy Lasher of Oakland City University and Coach Gobert will be assisted by Trevor McConnell of Barr-Reeve High School.

All players to be announced soon! Who are these legends, you ask? Is Ozzie Smith or Don Mattingly playing? (No, probably not--but you never know). Are players who were multi-year MLB All Stars, World Series Champions, Gold Glove Winners, Silver Slugger Winners, Organization Hall-Of-Famers, and Household Baseball Names playing? (Yes!)

All players will be announced individually leading up to the game.

Seating Options:

Lower Level VIP Reserved Seats ($35) are located in the first 2-3 rows in most lower sections (closest to the field) behind home plate and along each baseline. These MLB-style seats are HUGE and brand new and will be the BEST seats in the house for this historic game.

Lower Level Reserved Seats ($30) are located in the lower sections (closest to the field) behind home plate and along each baseline. These MLB-style seats are HUGE and brand new and will be great seats for this historic game.

General Admission ($25) bleacher seats are first come first serve and are in the upper part of the stadium, but still VERY close to all the action.

VIP Bar Table ($200) seats include 5 seats per table. These are GREAT for small groups or companies. You must purchase all 5 seats.

VIP Scoreboard Seats ($300) are brand new in 2024 and include 4 padded seats ON our historic scoreboard in left field. The view and the experience is unforgettable. All 4 seats must be purchased together and each person must be 21 years of age or older. A bucket of 8 light beers is included with your purchase and will be waiting for you when you arrive! *Your tickets must be scanned at the main stadium gate. You will then be escorted to the scoreboard.

VIP Player Meet & Greet ($50/person) - A limited number of tickets will be sold separately at check out (after you've selected your seats) for an exclusive opportunity to meet all of these players, get pictures, get autographs, and hang out from 4:30pm - 5:30pm (1 full hour before the stadium opens up to the public). Bring your baseball glove as rumor has it that these legends may want to play some catch on the field as well!

Q: When will tickets officially go on sale?

A: Pre-Sale tickets will go on sale at 9am EST on Friday, March 15th for all 2024 Dubois County Bombers season ticket holders + 2024 sponsors & advertisers. They will receive an "Early Access Code" via email at 9am that morning. The pre-sale will take place for 24 hours. At 9am EST on Saturday, March 16th, tickets will go on sale to the public.

Q: Who can purchase tickets first?

A: Our 2024 Dubois County Bombers season ticket holders + 2024 sponsors and advertisers will have access to our pre-sale, which will be for 24-hours before tickets go on sale to the public. Please consider purchasing season tickets or advertising with the Dubois County Bombers if you would early access to ticket sales to purchase some of the best seats available!

Q: What is the VIP Player Meet & Greet?

A: We will be selling a VERY limited number of VIP Player Meet & Greet Passes for $50 each for anyone who would like to meet any or all of the players for 1 hour before the gates open (from 4:30pm - 5:30pm). Get autographs, take pictures, and bring your baseball glove as rumor has it that some of these players would like to play catch on the field! The VIP Player Meet & Greet Option will be available to purchase online, AFTER you've added tickets to your online cart at check out.

Q: Who are the MLB players who will be participating and how many of them will there be?

A: We will be hosting 6+ MLB 'legends' who will be flying in from all over the country to play. These are players who had long, illustrious, award-winning & notable careers. Some are recently retired, some have been retired for 25 years.They all still have a love for the game and will all be playing in this competitive exhibition game! In addition to these 8 MLB legends, we have invited others who played in the MLB at one point and/or had great minor-league careers. You can also expect to see a few former Dubois County Bombers legends as well, in addition to some talented local players and even some local celebrities who will also be playing.

Q: When will you announce the MLB players who will be participating?

A: We will be announcing the MLB players individually, leading up to the game, across each of our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter). Several of them have already signed the contract to play and are looking forward to visiting and playing at Historic League Stadium!

Q: What is the 'format' of the game and will the MLB Legends all be on the same team?

A: We will divide the legends equally per team and will then supplement the rest of their team with the additional players who will be participating. It will be a 7-inning game.

Q: Will the usual 'stadium amenities' be open for this game?

A: You bet! All of our great concessions and all stadium bars will be open to serve our game guests!

Q: Do children 6 and under need a ticket?

A: Yes, all children (with the exception of very young lap-children) will need a ticket to enter the stadium and watch the game.

Q: Is this going to be one of the biggest, most unique, and most fun sporting events to ever come to Southwestern Indiana?
